How You Can Help

Program Partners. Your organization can help through our Partners In Progress initiative. If your organization provides assistive technology, job-training services, counseling, physical therapy, or rehabilitation services for individuals living with a disability, please contact us at partners@laurusfoundation.org.

Funding Partners. There are two ways that you can provide funding to Laurus Foundation. If you believe in our mission to advance the lives of individuals with disabilities to provide long-term solutions to meet lifetime needs, you can help by supporting our Program Partners with a Directed Giving donation. Every dollar of a Directed Giving donation goes exclusively to the program(s) you wish to support.

For example, the environmental control unit (ECU) known as Independence One (I-One), which allows a person to control his or her environment, including such things as the operation of a hospital bed, television, or other entertainment devices, costs approximately $6,000 per installation. You can designate your donation to go toward the deployment of an I-One or multiple I-Ones. You will receive a Report of Assistance (in the form of an annual report to the shareholders) which includes a full report on the progress made by the person or persons who will receive the I-One as a result of your Directed Giving.

General Fund donations will go to support a variety of on-going programs, including our Rapid Response Fund developed to meet the immediate and pressing needs of persons with disabilities. This fund is used for such things as short-term, but urgently needed rehabilitation or caregiver services.
