Thursday, March 3, 2011 — While on Ryan Seacrest's radio show today, the ousted contestant was presented with over $70,000 for his fiancee's charity
Last week, Chris Medina touched our hearts when he was told that he didn't make Idol's Top 24 — even J. Lo broke down at the sadness of it all. But Medina, who opened up to America about his fiancée Juliana's struggles with a brain injury, is getting a respite.
The 27-year-old Chicago resident visited Ryan Seacrest's radio show on KIIS-FM in LA today, and was presented with a $35,000 donation to his fiancée's charity, the Laurus Foundation/Juliana Ramos Fund. The generous gift was provided by Proactiv and Guthy Renker.
And the outpouring of support didn't end there. Topher Grace, star of the upcoming Take Me Home Tonight, was also a guest on Ryan's show today, and revealed he and Relativity Media would match the $35,000 donation, bringing the total up to $70,000. In addition, 1% of Take Me Home Tonight's box office profits will also go to the Laurus Foundation and Juliana's care.
